Books-by-Mail is a convenient service that supplies books, audiobooks,
and videos to people who are unable to use the library system due
to temporary or long-term physical and medical disabilities.
Who may recieve this service?
Children and adults who cannot visit a library in their area or
the Bookmobile due to a physical or medical disability—and
their caregivers—qualify for Books-By-Mail. Books-By-Mail
patrons will need an up-to-date library card from one of the member
libraries. Books-By-Mail patrons may also apply for a library card
by calling their local library.
How does this service work?
Books-By-Mail will send materials through the mail in a zippered,
nylon bag to registered patrons. When the materials are due for
return, the patron attaches postage and mails the bag back. Postage
free service is available to those patrons who qualify. The bag
may be dropped off at any Okaloosa County
Library to save on return postage.
Patrons may request library materials by phone, mail, or email
us at NcvLibrary@okaloosa.lib.fl.us
. Books-By-Mail provides reader’s advisory service upon request.
Patrons can visit our card catalog at www.readokaloosa.org.
