History of the Mary Esther Public Library |
 |
The Mary Esther Community Library was established in 1974. The original
space for the library consisted of 585 square feet and was located
in Town Hall. It later expanded to 810 square feet. In 1976 the library
was renamed and became the Mary Esther Public Library.
In 1990, The Florida State Legislature provided a grant for a new
library, which opened on March 9, 1992 at the corner of Christobal
Road and Hollywood Blvd, its current location.
The Mary Esther Public Library is proud to have been a charter member
of the Okaloosa County Public Library Cooperative. Visit the City
of Mary Esther Public Library Website.
